Transform your backyard and the planet by bringing bees home.
Your hive is a call or email away. After you contact us, we begin the process:
-
1. Consultation
Every hive begins with a home visit. Our beekeeper will learn about your experience level and hopes for keeping bees. Then, we’ll prepare a customized plan for your hive.
-
2. Installation
We set up your new hive and ensure everything is safe and secure. Our beekeeper will walk you through what to expect as your hive gets started, so you feel confident and excited.
-
3. Tending & Coaching
Healthy hives require attention and dedication. Let us take the worry out of beekeeping with our expert care and personalized coaching services. See more below.

Hive Tending
We care for your beehives to keep them healthy and productive, so you can help the planet and enjoy honey without lifting a finger.
Our beekeeper inspects your hives and handles everything they need: mite management, supering, swarm prevention, harvesting and jarring honey for you, and more.
We visit about every two weeks from spring to fall, and about monthly in the winter.

Hive Coaching
We offer hive maintenance plus beekeeping lessons for your whole family.
Our beekeeper visits at a set time to teach you and your family. Developmentally-appropriate, hands-on instruction will be provided for even the youngest members of the family, while older children and adults are invited to suit up and work alongside the beekeeper. You will get hands-on experience and learn to care for your hive in all seasons, from installation to honey harvesting.
We visit at a scheduled time about every two weeks from spring to fall, and about monthly in the winter.

What's Included
You own the core of your hive set-up: hive baseboard, three medium hive boxes, 30 medium frames and foundation, feeder, telescoping lid, and a nucleus colony of honeybees.
We bring the rest as needed: hive tools, smokers, suits, gloves, extra hive boxes and frames, and more.
Additionally, we provide a letter to share with your neighbors explaining what to expect, along with helpful tips on how to communicate with them about your bees. We also offer a comprehensive guide to your hive through the seasons.
And, of course, honey! The first year, a hive needs to keep all of the relatively little honey it produces to continue growing, but we will bring you 1 pound of honey each month. The second year, we harvest and jar honey from your hive for you.
